I’ve lived here for many years and I love it. I consider meridian parkside one of the best apartment complexes in Hampton Roads. Its amenities are to die for. It’s located perfectly to where you have good access to NN/Hampton/Coliseum/Shopping/Interstate is a few miles away. But for me and my we love it!

I am extremely disappointed with the way maintenance issues have been handled at my apartment. Lizards are coming into my apartment daily through a crack in the door. The microwave is also a fire hazard. When I first reported these issues, I was told, “I’m going to get on that right now.” After following up a few days later, the manager told me, “Oh, I ordered one, and it should be arriving today.” That day never came. A complete scam. Hours say on rental office door and website that the rental office is open on Sundays from 1 to 5 but one of the rep says they are not, wasted a trip. When we finally did come to our scheduled appointment mind you, the price went up almost 300 dollars within 2 weeks time after we were pretty much guaranteed our original offer for an apartment, and this was not the original rep who we spoke with in the beginning, this new rep that was there had no idea about what we were offered. My family and I moved to Meridian Parkside in September 2025 during a PCS from Georgia to Virginia. As two active-duty service members with a four-month-old baby, we expected some stress during the transition. What we did not expect was to spend nearly our entire first year dealing with maintenance issues, pest problems, poor communication, and a lack of urgency from much of the management team. I lived at this complex from 2022 until recently and even transferred into a 3-bedroom in 2024. For the first couple of years, things were fine, but my experience declined significantly toward the end of my lease. One of the biggest ongoing issues is the trash compactor—it’s consistently overflowing, unsanitary, and poorly maintained. It became a regular frustration.
